Anything at all that a celebrity has.

Tribal & any sort of pattern work. Dull waste of space.

Lettering. Why the fuck would someone need their own name on their wrist? And having "respect", "truth" or any other such random word down the back of your forearm doesn't mean that you're deep. It just means that you really wanted a proper tattoo but couldn't decide what to have.

Biomech. Some of it is very clever but it just doesn't move me.

Old school stuff with lots of randomly placed black shading. I'm all for tattoos having depth and oomph but the depth and oomph has to be in the right place or else the tattoo doesn't make sense. I love bold lines and black shading in traditional stuff but some of it looks like they just closed their eyes and guessed where the shadow and light should go.

Go on, have a go, it's fun offending people. censored2.gif

Tribal, I see it as a waste of skin who's owner has no imagination.

Portraits of people that have passed away I didn't like at all until my Mum passed away, now I have changed my mind.

I think I like most other styles.

I hate tribal its like people want to have a tattoo but dunno what to get so they get tribal I think that done well it can look nice but still a waste of skin space

people who get there OWN names, Initials or D.O.B on them... (there was more here but it offended people)

and on a personal note I would never have names tattooed on me..... even though I have been with Mr F for nearly 10 years I would never have his name tattooed on me guess I see it as a bit tacky (sorry people who have their partners names on them its just my opinion)

I also hate badly drawn tattoos that pass as this new traditional crack some of them look like they not quite sure where the lines should end after they have crossed (again my opinion)

thats all I can think of at the moment... am sure there is more

I understand what your saying about the tattoo style but do you not find the rest of what you put a bit insensitive to people that may have friends or family that are fighting out in Iraq and Afghanistan at the moment?

I used 2 hate certain styles of tattoos but since ive been comin on here ive grown 2 appreciate personal choice. Even though i wud never in a million years get a winnie the pooh tattoo if thats wot u like, and u can live with it, then its up 2 u. I think if u get a tattoo u regret and u feel a twat about it, u dont need anyone else 2 point out ur a twat!!

I have a niece out in Afghanistan ATM, I'm not offended by that at all. I can see that she didn't mean it like that and was maybe giving a simile?

I have lettering on my left forearm. I didn't get it cause I wanted a proper tattoo or I couldn't decide what do have, and nor do I think it makes me deep. The lettering on my arm is the origination of my family name back in Scotland and Ireland, I got it cause I'm proud of where my family comes from.

I'm not offended by what you said, I'm proud of what I have and why I got it, just wanted to point out that not all people get lettering for the reasons that you listed. In terms of my least favorite...I guess it would be tattoos that represent racism or gang related themes, other than that...people are into different styles and I can appreciate all of them.

lmfao.gif Love it!

It's down to personal taste at the end of the day and we are all just offering OUR individual personal preferences

no matter what you get if you like it then thats all that counts and the world can continue to spin biggrin.gif but there must be a style you don't like or would never have tattooed on you... come on share! lol

Its all about personal preference isn't it.

We don't have to live with others work, as they don not have to live with ours.

I dislike the tribal- especially the "around the bicep" flash style tribal that seems so popular with the "macho guy" set around here. I also think the barb-wire on the bicep is a bit ridiculous.

I don't mind tribute tattoos to someone who has passed on, but I would never get one because my parents hate tattoos and to get one for them would be silly (to me, anyway). I'm a bit worn out on the whole tribute tattoo to the war and 9/11- not by people who were actually there, but honestly, if you weren't there, have no connection to it (other than- "it affected me deeply"), why get a huge-ass American flag with a screeching bald eagle and: "Never forget! 9/11/2001!!" Nobody will ever forget, we don't need your tattoo to remind us.

I can sort of understand why a soldier would get their own name and DOB- dog tags don't always stay where they're supposed to- and you can't change a tattoo.

A guy who was a part-timer at the warehouse where I used to work has his own name tattooed in Old English lettering down the back of both of his arms. That makes no sense to me.

If your talking for my personal taste in terms of what I wouldn't have put on me, it would be tribal...just not into it that much.

I hate doing tribal. You all know what I mean, that nasty black shite that Clooney and Snipes have drawn all over them in THOSE films. It's usually unimaginative (even though I try to spice it up) and a complete waste of skin that you can use for something good instead.

Football tats. I had one moron in today to get a design drawn up for BRFC in a foreign fucking language, I mean what the fuck is point?????

Cartoon characters. Winnie the pooh, Piglet, Peter fuckin Pan. Why oh why oh why??? The majority of the people I've met seem like quite normal people even by my standards of normal. Although I do have a sheet of REALLY evil winnie the pooh designs I was thinking of putting one on myself.
It's all about the pain. The ink and jewelry are just souveniers.

having your name in some "cool" writing sucks !! its just tattoo for tattoos sake, no art or thought involved just "hey, look at me ive got a tattoo" ...actually, having your name ?? i mean, why...i think that fashion tattoos are funny , there will be so many old men with thier name on the inside of their arm in olde english in about 50 years from now ..... cos its fashion...and stars ...

and tribal sucks too, although some , and i mean a very small amount of it can look good on the right person (im thinking kerry king, it really suits him)

fuckin chinese letters ??? what the fuck is that about ???????????

BUT , saying that, the tattoo is for the person who is wearing it and no one elses to comment on (thats what we all believe , right) its self expression , some people use it well, others dont.....
