Hi, I am looking for a tattoo artist in England who's portrait work is on a level with Kat Von D or Nikko Hurtado?

Nigel Kurt, Fun House Tattoo , Barnsley. Although I will have to give you some rather dissapointing news, his work is not on a par with Kat Von D
It's much , much better than hers.

Yep, thirded from me. I dont do portraits, so I send 'em to Nigel and most of them are happy to travel to him.
Unlike V.D, Nigel doesn't have to depend on humungously edited film coverage to make his stuff look good.
This thread, like so many others, makes me a little downhearted when I realise just how many people are taken in. Honestly, to consider T.V work to be some sort of benchmark......

Regardless of where you end up having your ink done, the fact that you are researching shows you're not entirely fooled by the media hype!! Well done you, and good luck!
PS: Nikko's work is streets ahead, in style and execution, of the poster-girl's.
