MY PROBLEM WITH THIS COMMUNITY CASE IN POINT! So. Guess what no matter how pompous or secretive you esteemed lifer tattoo artists are, you aren't going to stop people from tattooing on their own and tattooing from their homes. Facts of life, to some people it is just a hobby and nothing more. You chose to make it a career, more power to you and I respect that. But some people namely myself, enjoy it as a hobby and aren't horrible at it, and have taken the time to learn proper techniques to prevent cross-contamination, spread of infectious disease and how to work in a sterile environment. Guess what, I do have my board of health certificate but you're saying that since I admit to tattooing from my home I'm not good enough for your community? You people and your pompous attitudes will ruin tattooing for good. I've done my time apprenticing (yet another flawed system in the tattoo community) and decided that I enjoyed it as a hobby and not a career. Some people are like that. Please tell me why you are a better tattoo artist than me because you work from a shop and not from home. Simply use those two factors alone.. all other factors assuming i'm fully licensed, highly skilled and motivated towards good artwork... what makes you a better artist than me just because you work in a shop?

So I am assuming you have a purpose built room in your property to tattoo from then yeah, that is used for nothing else BUT tattooing because I don't fancy getting a sleeve whilst watching your washing go round and your kids running around my feet, So you do this free gratis then, no money changes hands? Because if you have , this then it's classed as earnings. Do you pay public liability insurance then? You pay for your clinical waste to be disposed of correctly by a registered company?
I am assuming you comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations?

I am NOT an artist but personally I don't want to be tattooed from someone's house simple as. Tattoo snob? Hell yeah if you like . Bring it on, I don't care.

Like Jim said if you don't like our rules.

Seee ya
I'm joining the circus, feed your father till I get back!

HAHA! People like Me? You're assuming I can be type-cast into that hep-spreading can't hold a machine steady mold that you put everyone in that doesn't work out of a studio. How am I killing tattooing? You're pompous and its apparent from entering your message board and looking at your ridiculous requirements for getting into that prestigious artists only area... ohhhhh ahhhh... I'm sure you're going to delete my account and blah blah, I don't really care, just wanted to let you know that you're nothing more than a tattoo artist. You're not a god, you're not a subject matter expert, nobody is going to come seek true life changing advice from you, they're going to come and get an image on their skin from you. Did you ever stop to think that some people aren't going to go through the ropes and are going to tattoo from home no matter what you refuse to share on your message board? Did you ever think, maybe I could help prevent the spread of disease or infection if I advise this person even though I don't agree with their methods? They're going to do it anyway bro.... so stop assuming you're the only one with talent, dedication... blah blah... you sound like such a wannabe little diva...

Really it boils down to this lady, if you don't wanna get tattooed at my house fine but some people do. Don't assume that because I do it from my home that I'm not complying with local laws, health standards and regulations.

Where are the pics of your work?
I'm not your Bro.
So, you need advice given to you on not spreading disease and infection?
Figure that out. First you extol the magnitude of your knowledge and ability, then you go and expose yourself as a know-nothing. Which is it?
And....where are the pictures of your work?

Still no pics, but lots and lots of angst, bitterness with a little racist attitude thrown in to boot; oh and it's E N G L A N D, and S C O T L A N D, learn to spell.
You're a liar, a cheat and you're a thief.
You lied when you said you Tattoo. You scratch, if you're even THAT advanced.
You're cheating yourself with your delusions, and cheating everyone else by using up oxygen some more useful life-form could do more with.
You're stealing the very essence of Tattooing and mangling it to fit your sad little life,as you have admitted yourself you're a failed apprentice.
You know, I was going to ban you, but I think I will just wait and see who else wants to pity you.
Thanks for the comment on my work, I'll try to improve.

Just in case you try another lie, for everyone's edification here is a copy of the message I sent when I altered your warn level:

I have friends in Hawaii. Not in Kapolei admittedly, but certainly in your area.
I will be making enquiries among them as to who you are, just out of curiosity as to why you have such a huge ego and how we could possibly have missed such a resounding talent. Tattooing, I am sure, is all the poorer without your sterling input. Not.
Have a great day!

Awwwh gee thanks... I'm a lady! lol

there's one thing bugging me why do you ASSUME that our "pompous attitude is going to ruin tattooing for good"? Is tattooing from home the future then and opening legitimate shops not the way forward? For every person who claims like you to be all above board there a hundreds more that just go and buy a kit off ebay and go and disfigure countless hundreds more with out a second though as just a hobby. THAT sir, is what we strive to prevent with our pompous attitudes.

No further comments from me I am bored with this. Call us all out as much as you like, you may be the second coming in tattoo genius for all I know( you are certainly self righteous enough to think you are) but insulting people from the off on a forum that is renowned for it's dislike of home tattooing isn't a clever move. If you push, folk will push back harder I'm afraid.

Come onnnnn link us up. Lets see your work in all it's magnificance. A pic of your work area would be fab too. Go on pleeeeeeese.

Interesting Fact:
In the Hawaiian Islands, the fine for Tattooing without a legitimate licence and inspection is $5,000:00.

You're a highly skilled not horrible tattoo artist?

Oh, you mean you're an amateur artist. So it's only fair only I assume you don't charge people for your amateur work? Oh and also y'know, cos it's not a job, just a hobby :)
